Dave Sharp started his radio career in the 3rd largest market in the United States, Dallas/Fort Worth TX, as a talk radio show host on CNN radio in 2009. In 2012, Dave decided to move to the River Valley with his wife of 28 years, where he spent many years as a teenager, to enjoy a slower paced lifestyle than in the big city. In 2014, KXMX ownership offered Big Dave a position on air. He happily accepted and has been a familiar and fun voice on The Mix 105.1 ever since.​​
