Thursday, September 21, 2023 - The 2nd annual Blue Line Event is set to take place on September 30 from 3-8 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw.
The purpose of the Blue Line event is to honor and support local law enforcement and their families while raising money that will be distributed to local law enforcement agencies.
The organizers of the event have planned a family-friendly afternoon and evening full of fun and entertainment.
A variety of vendors will be set up, giving attendees the chance to get a jump start on that Christmas list. A few of the products available for purchase include crafts, honey, jewelry, handmade baby items, throw pillows and blankets, soaps, and wood signs, just to name a few.
The kids will have a blast in the kid's zone, jumping the afternoon away on inflatables and bounce-arounds. Next Arrow Archery adds to the fun with Hoverball. The cost of the arrows is $1 each, or six arrows for $5.
In addition, The Lion’s Den School of Self-Defense will be showcasing martial arts presentations and handing out ninja tattoos, and a silent auction offering some outstanding items will take place.
Senator Warren Hamilton and District Attorney, District 27 Jack Thorp, will both be present and speak at the event, showing their appreciation for local law enforcement.
Make sure to come on an empty stomach because there will be a variety of delicious foods and desserts available to purchase.
The MIX 105.1 will be broadcasting live, playing all your favorite music until 6 p.m. Then the Lane Lowder Band takes the stage from 6 to 8 p.m., providing live entertainment for attendees.
Vendor spots are still available and cost $30 for a 10x10 area. Vendor spots are not equipped with power.
Organizers are still in need of donations, including door prizes for law enforcement, auction items, bags of chips, drinks, and cash contributions.
So, tell your friends and family, pack up your lawn chairs, and head out to support your local law enforcement agencies.
To sign up as a vendor, obtain more information, or donate to the event, contact Rachel Fair, Tiffany Biles, or Stacy House via Facebook.
Immanuel Baptist Church is located at 1101 N. Wheeler Ave. in Sallisaw.
