The Pervasive Parenting Center is proud to announce the launch of the first Rural Oklahoma Camp for Expanding Transition (ROCKET Camp) on July 17, 2025, at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Oklahoma.

ROCKET Camp is designed specifically for students ages 10 to 13 with disabilities. The camp offers a supportive and engaging environment where participants will build social skills, practice self-advocacy, and explore job readiness skills essential for a smooth transition into adulthood.

Pervasive Parenting Center director Kodey Toney said, โ€œWe are thrilled to bring ROCKET camp to rural Oklahoma. This is a much-needed opportunity for young students to develop the tools and confidence theyโ€™ll need later in life."

The camp is made possible through funding from the Oklahoma State Department of Educationโ€™s Pathways to Partnership Grant and will bring together experienced educators, counselors, and advocates to lead interactive and inclusive sessions.

For more information or to register, contact Chayla Huggins at chuggins@pervasiveparentingcenter.org, Terry Yarbery at tyarbery@pervasiveparentingcenter.org, or call 918-647-1255.

Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
