Thursday, April 24, 2025– Arvest Bank has officially kicked off its 15th annual Million Meals campaign, a powerful two-month initiative aimed at combating food insecurity across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas. Running from April 1 through May 31, this year’s campaign sets an ambitious goal—to increase by 15% in celebration of the milestone anniversary.
Locally, the campaign will get a boost when MIX 105.1 hosts a live remote broadcast at the Sallisaw Arvest branch on Friday, May 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Community members are encouraged to stop by, donate, and learn how they can help make a difference.
Since its inception in 2011, Million Meals has grown into Arvest Bank’s largest community service effort, providing over 25 million meals to individuals and families in need. Last year alone, the campaign raised more than 2.6 million meals and over $524,000 in donations, supporting more than 80 food partners throughout the region.
The campaign is especially timely, as food insecurity remains a significant issue. Arkansas currently holds the highest food insecurity rate in the U.S. at nearly 19%, while Oklahoma follows closely at 15.4%, ranking fifth. Nationally, nearly 1 in 5 children lived in food-insecure households in 2023.
All funds raised during the Million Meals campaign stay local, benefiting food banks and hunger relief organizations within each Arvest community. Every dollar counts—just $1 can provide up to 5 meals in some areas.
Donations can be made by visiting any Arvest Bank branch, online at arvest.com/millionmeals, or through the Arvest Go mobile app.
