City of Sallisaw Awarded $50,000 for New Dog Park

The City of Sallisaw is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $50,000 T-Mobile Hometown Grant to fund the development of a much-needed dog park at McGee Park.

The funding comes as part of T-Mobile’s commitment to invest $25 million over five years into 50 rural towns across the United States. The Hometown Grants program is designed to jumpstart projects that foster stronger communities, and Sallisaw is one of the 25 most recent recipients of this prestigious award.

The new dog park will be designed to accommodate both small and large breed dogs, providing a safe and enjoyable space for canine companions and their owners.
