Early Voting Begins February 6 for Sequoyah County Voters

Early voting for Sequoyah County residents begins Thursday, February 6, providing voters with the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day. Those unable to visit the polls on Election Day can vote early at the Sequoyah County Election Board.

Sequoyah County Election Board Secretary Ruby Brunk emphasized the accessibility of early voting, stating, “Early voting is open to all voters. You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the County or State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or those wishing to avoid long lines.”

Early voting is available on Thursday, February 6, and Friday, February 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Sequoyah County Election Board located at 110 E. Creek Ave. in Sallisaw. It is important to note that early voting is not available at regular polling locations.

Voters requiring assistance due to blindness, visual impairment, physical disability, or illiteracy can request assistance or use the ATI device for private and independent voting. Individuals needing assistance should speak with a precinct official or contact the Election Board directly for guidance.
