Monday, November 6, 2023 - A Muldrow woman was arrested Oct. 29 and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
Kayla L. Hodges, 36, could face up to two years in the Department of Corrections if she is convicted of the charge.
On Oct. 29, an officer with the Muldrow Police Department was dispatched to the location of another officer, who had run the license plate on a vehicle that had come up as possibly stolen.
When the officer arrived at the Quickway gas station on the north side of the building, the vehicle in question traveled west on 9th Street to the intersection of South Ada, then turned south, where it was intercepted by officers.
Officers informed the driver, identified as Hodges, that the car had been reported stolen and she insisted that she was merely test-driving the vehicle.
Dispatch informed officers that the vehicle had been confirmed as stolen out of Benton County, Arkansas.
Hodges was then arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County jail. She was released on $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 29.
