Thursday, July 26, 2023 - The Gore Office of Emergency Management is taking an active stance in combating human trafficking by hosting two Human Trafficking Awareness Classes on Saturday, August 12. These classes aim to educate and raise awareness about this serious issue.
The first class is set to begin at 2 p.m. and is designed for parents or adults. The second class, which targets a student audience, will start at 4:30 p.m. Both classes will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Gore.
Human trafficking is a pervasive problem that affects communities all over the United States, and it's essential to understand its complexities. Awareness is the first step in combating this evil practice, and everyone can play a role in making a difference.
Instructors from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management will lead both classes, ensuring that attendees receive valuable and accurate information.
If you have any questions about the classes or the topic of human trafficking, you can reach out to the Town of Gore Emergency Manager, Justin Ohl, at 918-557-5962.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is located at 1009 N. Way 10 in Gore.
