Tuesday, April 26, 2022 - Sallisaw Main Street never fails to please with the Indian tacos they serve up at downtown events. If you’re a fan of these delicious tacos, you won’t have to wait much longer.
Carol Brown with Sallisaw Main Street said, "We will be opening up on May 6 and 7 and will be located downtown beside the pocket park." The pink trailer is hard to miss and will open up on Friday around 11:00 a.m.
"This year's menu includes Indian tacos, funnel cakes, nachos, and beverages. All proceeds raised will go towards the beautification of downtown Sallisaw," Brown stated.
Sallisaw Main Street is a group of citizens who collaborated in 2004 and formed a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Their goal is to restore and enhance the downtown Sallisaw district.
All funds raised by the organization through sponsor donations, City of Sallisaw contributions, and fundraisers go directly toward the restoration and renovation of the designated Main Street district.
"What we do is take any money raised or donated and put it back into the community by providing grants to business owners in the downtown district to assist with updating the facades of their businesses," Brown said.
