Iron Mountain Festival this Saturday

Friday, July 2, 2021 - The 2021 Iron Mountain Festival & Freedom Celebration is Saturday, and Roland is pulling out all the stops to make the event a huge success.

The festival, hosted by the Roland Area Chamber of Commerce and the Black Diamond Baggers, will be from 5-10 p.m. Saturday at Roland City Park and will feature a cornhole tournament, arts and crafts, fabulous food vendors, live music from Whiskey Revolver and fun for the whole family.

The cornhole tournament will take place in the parking lot of the Roland Fire Department. Sign-ups will begin at 3 p.m. and doubles players are asked to bring their own partners. The cost to play is $40 per team and there is an 80 percent payout. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place.

There will be several giveaways at the festival, including a new TV, a bird feeder, a tabletop fire bowl, a kiddie pool, a pet gift basket and even a weekend stay at Long Lake Resort in Poteau!

The evening will end with a bang when “the biggest fireworks show in Eastern Oklahoma” lights up the night sky. So come for the fun, bring your lawn chairs, and stay for the fireworks!

The event is sponsored by Firstar Bank, River Town Outfitters, the Cherokee Nation and the Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland.

The Mix 105.1 will be broadcasting live and playing patriotic music for all to enjoy.
