Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 - The town of Marble City is searching for volunteers after winning 12 five-gallon buckets of tan or light brown paint, a small stipend for paint supplies, and a power washer.
The goal is to make positive changes throughout the community by painting designated buildings to enhance their appearance and curb appeal. While no graffiti or murals will be painted during this time, plans are underway for a mural contest in the near future.
If you're interested in contributing to the beautification effort, the organizers will have all the necessary supplies ready on the day of the event.
If painting isn't your cup of tea, there's no need to fret. The event will be a hub of activity with a cornhole tournament and both MCFAM vendors and city vendors setting up shops offering creative goods, food, and snow cones.
In addition, live gospel music and a performance by Rezervation Road are set to take place at the Stage Park, providing a musical background for the exciting day of events.
If you would like to sign up for the cornhole tournament, contact Donna at 918-315-3012. The deadline to sign up for the tournament is September 7.
For updates and additional information about the event, make sure to check out the MCFAM Facebook page.
