Friday, June 30, 2023 - As Greg Scott departs to start his tenure at Tulsa Central, the Sallisaw Lady Black Diamonds have welcomed in their new head coach, Eric Carr.
Carr comes with a successful background, leading the Piedmont Lady Wildcats to the 2019 class 5A State Championship victory. He also spent time coaching in El Reno as well as Calumet, OK.
"I am very defensive minded", stated Carr. "As far as philosophy goes, we are going to play man-to-man for the most part. I probably play 97% man. We try to control the game through our defense. Offensively we will fit our kids into their positions on the court based on their specific skillset."
Coach Carr added, "We have some great kids but we are going to be really young and a little bit inexperienced. There will be some culture changes, especially on defense, but we are super excited to get started."
