Friday, July 16, 2021 - Working out at the Sallisaw Sports Complex is cooler than ever now that a brand-new shade structure has been installed over the new fitness equipment, the city's economic development director said.
George Bormann said the newest sun shade is the 24th to be installed at the complex, and it was financed in part by the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA). Other shade structures cover the bleachers on the baseball and softball fields.
Bormann said city crews are also hard at work clearing land for what will soon be soccer fields, which he says is “very exciting” news for Sallisaw.
