Wednesday, February 9, 2022 - On Thursday, February 10, the Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative has planned a scheduled power outage from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This is an estimated time and is subject to change.
The power outage will affect members receiving service from Substation 6 – MUL/Feeder 2 in Muldrow. If you are unsure of what substation you are powered by, the information will be located on your most recent electric bill.
The main areas affected by this outage include the Fisher addition and members on the north and south sides of Interstate 40. Crews will be working as fast as possible to complete the project in a safe manner.
The power outage is required so that crews can change out existing power poles in order to upgrade the infrastructure for the Cookson Hills Connect fiber project. The upgrade will accommodate the new high-speed internet fiber for members.
Cookson Hills recently sent out messages to their members that stated, "We urge members who rely on electric medical equipment to make appropriate plans for the outage. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to bring fast, reliable, and affordable internet to each of our members."
If you have any questions regarding this outage, please call 1-800-328-2368.
