The Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce membership meeting took place on Wednesday, October 23, at the Wheeler Event Center in Sallisaw, where Blue Ribbon Auto Group was honored as October’s Member of the Month.
Blue Ribbon Auto Group, a chamber member for 29 years, has long been an active community supporter, involved in organizations like the Boys and Girls Club of Sequoyah County, Sequoyah County Livestock Show, Sallisaw Main Street, and many others. The company, owned by the Spencer family, also sponsors the Sallisaw Lions Club RAM Rodeo and proudly employs 50 people. Dwight Spencer and his father are both past presidents of the Sallisaw Chamber, continuing a legacy of service to the local community.

Halloween on Elm Street (Sallisaw Police Dept.): Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m.
Movie at Stage Park: “Hocus Pocus” (CCR/SART) - Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
Veterans Day Ceremony at ICTC: Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.
Merchant's Christmas Open House: Saturday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 17.
Sallisaw Christmas Parade, Saturday, Dec. 14, with the theme “A Toyland Christmas.”
10th Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner: Wednesday, Nov. 27, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Sallisaw Middle School Cafeteria.
The keynote speaker, Quick Trip’s Real Estate Manager Jake Barron, shared updates about the upcoming Sallisaw Quick Trip store, set to open on March 6, 2025. Barron highlighted hiring plans for 12–18 clerk positions and 8–9 assistant managers. Barron also revealed that Quick Trip has recently purchased property in Roland, with further details coming soon.
