Tuesday, May 31, 2022 - The City of Sallisaw has been chosen as the host site for both the softball and baseball state tournaments for 2022. The tournaments are set to take place at the Sallisaw Sports Complex starting on June 17.
The location of the tournaments is beneficial not only to Sallisaw but also surrounding areas due to the business and revenue the tournament generates.
Residents throughout the county will be able to take advantage of the location as well. Families with youth participating in the tournaments get to enjoy the convenience of staying close to home. This alleviates the burden and expenses related to lodging, fuel, food, and other costs families encounter when traveling to tournaments in other areas.
State Tournament schedule of events:
Softball 6U and 8U, June 17–19
Baseball T-ball 6U, July 7-9
Baseball 10U, July 12-16
