Friday, December 13, 2023 - Webbers Falls Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 4th annual Historical Downtown Christmas this Saturday, December 16. The event is set to take place in downtown Webber Falls from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
The event offers fun for the entire family, with plenty of opportunities for shopping, games, and delicious food.
This year, the Chamber has over 30 vendors scheduled to set up inside Freedom Hall, providing the perfect opportunity for those last-minute shoppers to complete their shopping lists.
Another attraction located at Freedom Hall will be the “Toy Wall." The Toy Wall is similar to a cakewalk, except gently used and new toys will be won by participants. The Toy Wall is sponsored by Denie Green and the Webbers Falls Historical Christmas, with the toys being donated by the Webbers Falls First Baptist Church and friends.
This year, the Webbers Falls Fire Department will be “ducking” the historical downtown Christmas with 250 numbered mini ducks. The ducks can be found throughout the event and will be numbered. Attendees can pick up as many ducks as they want but are only allowed to win one prize. The fire department asks that all ducks be returned after the event so they can be used for future events.
Those attending should plan to come with an empty stomach. There will be free chili, hot dogs, smores kits, cookies, and more offered throughout the evening.
This Christmas event wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa, Mrs. Clause, and Santa's elves. Children of all ages will get to tell Santa all their Christmas wishes and have the opportunity to dance with Santa’s elves. Children will also receive an old-fashioned apple and orange candy bag.
In addition, Christmas raffles will be held throughout the event. There are many great prizes to win, and attendees do not have to be present.
A few of the prizes being drawn include a tandem skydive, area merchant gift cards, car wash gift cards, a hand-drawn horse portrait, a pecan gift basket, a big-screen smart TV, and a Marvel resort day pass. The tickets are $5 each or $6 for $20, with all proceeds benefiting the Webbers Falls High School scholarship fund.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 16, and head out to enjoy another year at the Webbers Falls Historical Downtown Christmas.
